sentenced last week to 22 years in prison for having sex
with students is getting quite a bit of support from
halfway around the world, according to reports.
Thousands of Russians believe 30-year-old Jennifer
Fichter did nothing wrong, according to the online
publication, The Moscow Times.
Fichter pleaded guilty to having sex with three of her
teenage students.
Online petitions were launched and signed by her Russian
supporters.
One petition was launched on the website Change.org. It
went viral and some 41,000 signatures had been gathered
by Monday night, according to the The Times.
